Benchmarks indexes
- The benchmark Indexes is designed in order to have the global performance of the VietNam stocks, and in each particular market (Ho chi Minh Stock Exchange, and the HaNoi Stock Exchange).
- Also the VNX 300 Index will have 3 sub indices that divide the market in three groups in terms of capitalization: Large, Mid and Small capitalizations.
- The design of these indices is described as following:
VNX 300 index
- Universe : All shares listed on the two markets HOSE and HNX (over 700 stocks) are eligible.
- Selection : The 300 largest companies in term of the capitalization are determined as it focuses on the liquid stocks (excluding stocks having less 10% of annual velocity or 50% of trading days)
VNX HSX index
- The Ho Chi Minh stocks in the VNX 300 sample constitute the VNX HSX index
VNX HNX index
- The Ha Noi stocks in the VNX 300 sample constitute the VNX HNX index
Size indexes
VNX Large 50 index
- From the sample of the 300 constituents of VNX 300, the 50 leading stocks in terms of capitalization are selected and will represent the VNX Large 50 index.
VNX Mid 100 index
- The VNX Mid 100 index comprises the 100 next-largest capitalizations after the 50 largest stocks that make up the VNX Large 50 index.
VNX Small 150 index
- The VNX Small 150 index is made up of the remaining 150 smallest capitalizations in the VNX 300 index.
VNX Large & Mid 150 index
- The VNX Large & Mid 150 index is composed of the stocks belonging to the VNX Large 50 and VNX Mid 100 indexes.
VNX Mid & Small 250 index
- The VNX Mid & Small 250 index is composed of the stocks belonging to the VNX Mid 100 and VNX Small 150 indexes.
Industry & Sector indexes
- After 10 years of trading, the VietNam stock market has now more than 700 listed stocks present in different industries and sectors.

Blue Chips indexes
- Blue Chips indexes are Tradable and are created respecting all the necessary international standards in purpose to serve as the underlying instrument for the derivatives and other structured products.
- Stocks are weighted according to their free float market capitalization with a maximum weight of 15% per stock.
VNX 50 index
- The Blue chips VNX 50 index consists of 50 highest ranking stocks in terms of free float capitalization and daily turnover average. The index reflects the performance of the most representative stocks of the two markets HSX and HNX.
- Universe : The VNX Large & Mid 150 index
- Selection : These 150 stocks are ranked by the turnover average over the last 12 months and the free float adjusted capitalization. The first 50 combined ranked companies become the components of the VNX 50 index.
VNX 25 index
- The Blue chips VNX 25 index consists of 25 highest ranking stocks in terms of free float capitalization and turnover of the VNX Large 50 index sample.
VNX Top Exchange, Sector indexes
- The VNX Top Exchange and Sector indexes consist of top 10 stocks in terms of free float capitalization and trading turnover, sectors index sample. Such as: VNX Top 10 Basic materials, VNX Top Consumer Goods, VNX Top 10 Finance, VNX Top 10 Healthcare, VNX Top10 Industrials, VNX Top 10 Utilities, VNX Top 10 Real Estate, VNX Top 10 Group Oil, VNX Top 10 Group Telecom, VNX Top 10 HSX, VNX Top 10 HNX.

The High Quality Goods indexes
Since 1997, the Saigon Tiep Thi Newspaper has conducted the program High Quality Vietnamese Goods. Every year, the Association of Vietnam High Quality Goods announces the list of the enterprises qualified with the title High Quality Vietnamese Goods and voted by the consumers. This campaign aims to change the consumers’ perception and their preference for imported goods in raising their trust in Vietnamese goods and services
The VNX High Quality indexes family is composed by 3 indexes:
VNX HQ Goods index
- The VNX High Quality index is a full market capitalisation index, and composed by companies selected by the Association and trading on the HSX and HNX stock market exchanges.
VNX HQ Goods Equal weighted index
- This index is the equal-weight version of the VNX High Quality index. The index includes the same constituents as the capitalization weighted VNX High Quality index, but each company is allocated a fixed and equal weight of the index total at each semester rebalance.
VNX Top 10 HQ Goods index
- The index comprises 10 leading High Quality Goods selected companies trading on the HSX and HNX stock market exchanges. It is designed to provide investors with tradable exposure to this particular theme. Their selection is based on the 12-month average daily value traded and the free float capitalisation. No stock has a weight of more than 15% at the rebalancing.

VNX PVN PLus 10
- The VNX PVN Plus 10 index combines leadership companies of PVN group and 5 other major sector industries. The index is designed for use by local and international investors, and therefore reflects the float available to residents, and is fully UCITS III compliant.
VNX Leaders 10
- The VNX Leaders 10 index serves as a investable benchmark to track, as a single asset class, the performance of 10 Vietnamese leaders across 10 industry sectors trading on the HSX and HNX stock exchanges
VNX Brokerage index
- VNX Brokerage is the Benchmark Index with “Brokerage” stocks trading on the Ho chi Minh and Hanoi Stock Exchanges.
VNX Brokerage Equal Weighted index
- VNX Brokerage Equal Weighted is the Equal Weighted Index with “Brokerage” stocks trading on the Ho chi Minh and Hanoi Stock Exchanges
VNX Top 10 Brokerage index
- VNX Top 10 Brokerage is the Tradable Index with the Top 10 largest and most liquid stocks of the Brokerage’s listed companies in the Ho chi Minh and Hanoi Stock Exchanges.

- VNX Steel is the Thematic index with stocks in Steel industrial trading on the Ho Chi Minh and Ha Noi Stock Exchanges
