INREC and BeQ Holdings Partner to Preserve and Promote Vietnam’s Ethnic Cultural Heritage
Ho Chi Minh City, August 5, 2025 – The Vietnam Institute for Research and Development of Ethnic Culture (INREC) and BeQ Holdings Joint Stock Company have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aiming to jointly preserve, promote, and disseminate the cultural values of Vietnam’s 54 ethnic groups in the context of global integration and digital transformation.
Cooperation Objectives
The two parties commit to working together to:
- Contribute to the preservation of traditional cultural values, including languages, festivals, handicrafts, beliefs, and indigenous knowledge.
- Support ethnic minority communities in accessing sustainable development models associated with cultural identity.
- Spread Vietnamese heritage to the world through new forms such as digitization, online exhibitions, and virtual cultural spaces.
Specific Directions
- Establish the Ethnic Culture Fund, mobilizing social resources to finance cultural initiatives in highland and remote areas.
- Digitize intangible cultural heritage for long-term storage, preservation, and educational–research purposes.
- Build the Ethnic Culture Index (ECI) to recognize, evaluate, and honor the contributions of communities, artisans, and organizations in cultural preservation.
- Develop the “Vietnam Cultural Metaverse” – a space where young people can explore, experience, and gain deeper understanding of ethnic cultures directly on online platforms.
This event marks an important step in the journey of modernizing heritage, so that ethnic culture is not only preserved but also becomes vibrant, widespread, and enduring with the times.
